Prior to reaching the German border we were surprised by a Me110 coming from below, he shot up our wing and knocked out the #3 engine. Our tail gunner shot Jerry up and the he exploded in a ball of flames. We soon discovered we were also loosing fuel and had to abort the mission. On the way home we came under attack once more, but managed to evade Jerry.
