Dunkirk Mission 34 AAR : Berlin

Darkness must have shielded us rather effectively as we were not attacked until zone 8. Allen spotted a twin-engine approaching from 6:00 low and exploded him before he fired at us. Caught in searchlight beam over Berlin and attacked by Me-109 soon after. He must have been a novice as he missed us on two passes before Anderson flamed him and he exploded after passing our tail. Hit by flak a few moments later which wounded Anderson slightly and damaged our rudder controls. The bomb run was not affected as we were on target with 20% damage observed.

Surprise attacked by 110 when leaving target area, but he only damaged us slightly before leaving.

Return trip and landing were uneventful and Anderson will recover in time for our next mission.
