23rd/24th March 1944
Mission Narrative;
Right away we were surprised by a Tame Boar attacking from six o'clock. His first pass penetrated our port wing fuel tank. The damage was too dire to continue our mission forcing us to abort. Estimates had us running out of petrol over Berlin, so aborting the mission was the only choice.
