We are off to Berlin once again. How can the Germans withstand this constant pounding? They have to give up soon, so we can end this war. We are over germany when the first Night fighter appears. A ME-110 hits us hard! The Radio Operator is lightly wounded! The Tail gun gets him on the second pass! His flamming desent quickly alerts another 110 to our presence. We are attacked again! We take hits to the Starboard Wing & it is damaged! The wing root & Aileron are hit!
We get past & are approaching the target, We miss the target! The crew is dissapointed. But no time to dwell on it. another 110 attacks! We get a piece of him and slip away. We avoid detection most of the way home. But another 110 finds us as we almost get out of Germany! The Bomb Bay is straffed! good thing the Bombs have been jettisoned! We limp back to our airfield & manage to land successfully.
