Reported by P/O Tony Carlyle (D for Diamond):
On the return trip west of Brandenburg we were without oxygen and flying at 10,000 feet. There was another Lanc a short distance from us. Saw it attacked by what probably was a 110. E/A made several passes and hit the Lanc's wing which burst into flames - few seconds after the Lanc exploded. Two chutes opened.
[This plane is believed to have been "Hole Hog" on its first mission - Sqdrn. exec's note]
